Safhi
Lifecare,
is an innovative
self-employment
project promoted
jointly by SAFHI
and an entrepreneur
partner, to provide
reliable healthcare
support to smaller
towns of West
Bengal. In
collaboration with SRL
Ranbaxy,
the largest
clinical laboratory
chain in South Asia
and a Small
Industries
Development Bank,
SAFHI would
facilitate
establishment of 20
Pathological
Centres in 15
districts of West
Bengal in the first
phase.
SAFHI
is looking for
educated youth entrepreneur
partners
interested to run
the Lifecare
Centres. The
selected persons
(SEP) would be
running the centres
jointly with SAFHI
at least for 18
months. On
satisfactory
completion of this
entrepreneurial
internship and
evaluation of
adherence to
service quality,
financial
compliance and loan
repayment ability
of the SEP, the
pathological
section of the
Lifecare project
would be
transferred to the SEP.
This evaluation
would be based on a
joint evaluation by
Safhi and the other
partner
organisations.
Support
to be provided by
Safhi Lifecare
Project to SEP:
·
20
days residential
training on
managing pathology
business,
enterprise
development,
accountancy and
marketing.
·
Initial
marketing of the
services; provide
logistic support
for collection of
samples, delivery
of test reports,
testing at Calcutta
and Mumbai
state-of-art
laboratories.
·
Arrangement
of the
infrastructure of
the centre i.e.
furniture,
electricity,
personal computer
with internet
facility,
maintenance of the
centre with active
support from the
SEP.

Rs.1,50,000 and pay
back in 3 years

to invest Rs.30,000
upfront on being
selected

to market
pathological
testing service in
the specified
territory with
active support from
SAFHI & other
partner
organisations.
·
Willing
to take up business
target in order to
refund the loan
within the
specified period.
·
Able
to arrange an area
of 1000 square feet
(ground floor) in a
prime/accessible
location of the
selected town.
