Safhi Educare, is an innovative self-employment project promoted jointly by SAFHI and an entrepreneur partner, to provide reliable IT education care support to smaller towns of West Bengal. In collaboration with a large multinational company spcialised in eLearning and a small industries development bank, SAFHI would facilitate establishment of IT training centres all districts of West Bengal.

 SAFHI is looking for educated youth entrepreneur partners interested to run the Educare Centres. The selected persons (SEP) would be running the centres jointly with SAFHI at least for 18 months. On satisfactory completion of this entrepreneurial internship and evaluation of adherence to service quality, financial compliance and loan repayment ability of the SEP, the eLearning section of the Educare project would be transferred to the SEP. This evaluation would be based on a joint evaluation by Safhi and other partner organisations.

 Support to be provided by Safhi Educare Project to SEP:

·         20 days residential training on managing eLearning business, enterprise development, accountancy and marketing.

·         Initial marketing of the services; provide logistic support for IT training, delivery certificates from the MNC, provision of softwares.

·         Arrangement of the infrastructure of the centre i.e. furniture, electricity, personal computer with internet facility, maintenance of the centre with active support from the SEP.

 Locations: Any district headquarter or other town

 Interested candidates must be:

·         Local resident of the selected town

·         Qualification: Graduation with O level certification

·         Willing to take a loan of Rs.2,00,000 and pay back in 3 years

·         Willing to invest Rs.40,000 upfront on being selected

·         Willing to market eLearning service in the specified territory with active support from SAFHI and other partner organisations.

·         Willing to take up business target in order to refund the loan within the specified period.

·         Able to arrange an area of 1000 square feet (ground floor) in a prime/accessible location of the selected town.

• As this is a business venture there is no fixed salary. The income of the SEP would be based on the revenue generated by the individual centre.
